Obedient Plant (Physostegia)
Physostegias are widely used in wildflower meadows and water garden fringes, as well as in more civilized borders. The blossoms are long lasting as cut flowers. They are especially easy to arrange because flowers pushed to face a different direction from the stem will stay in their new positions obediently, which is where the plant got its name. Obedient plant is happy in either sunny or lightly shaded spots, but it does best with some shade on drier sites, and full sun where it is wetter. Deep Pink Cupshape flowers. Blooms June-September. Water Poppy (Hydrocleys nymphoides)
The water poppy produces 2" yellow poppy-like blooms that stand above the water and last only one day, but are produced all summer. While they can be floating they are best planted in soil.

Umbrella Palm (Cyperus alternifolius)
Native to Madagascar it is related to the papyrus, the plant once used to make paper. They grow from 2' to 6' and prefer 6" of water depth. They spread 1'-4' with thin blades of leaves on reed like stems in an umbrella shape. A definate must as an accent plant for ponds and water gardens.

Marsh Mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos)
Swamp-rose Mallow or Rose mallow  is a cold-hardy perennial wetland plant that can grow in large colonies. It is found in wetlands and along the riverine systems of the southeastern United States from Texas to the Atlantic states, its territory extending northward to southern Ontario. There exists in nature numerous forms and petal colors range from pure white to deep rose, and, except for one genome, all have an eye of deep maroon. WET/DRY PERENNIAL

Ocelot Sword (Echinodorus Ocelot)
Often used in aquariums Echinodorus 'Ocelot' is a decorative hybrid between Echinodorus schluteri 'Leopard' and Echinodorus x barthii. It's the elliptical black spots on the red-brown leaves gives this plant the name 'Ocelot'. Spots are darkest on the youngest leaves, and unlike many other spotted Echinodorus Echinodorus 'Ocelot' retains its spots even at low light intensity. It is an undemanding, good plant for beginners.
