Parrot’s
Feather (Myriophyllum aquatica)
Member
of the water-milfoil family (Halo-ragaceae). A favorite
perennial
that has a feathery texture and is silver-gray in shade and bright
green when in full sun.

Water
Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes)
The
number one floating aquatic plant in use today. This is one of the
fastest growing plants in warm weather and has a beautiful orchid-like
flower. The Water Hyacinth helps keep your pond water clean and clear
with its ability to uptake nitrogen at a very high rate. It also
provides a spawning place for fish in its large root mass.

Water Lettuce (Pistia
stratiotes)
The
attractive foliage of the water lettuce provides a pale green contrast
in color for your pond’s surface. Also called shell flower, its tiny
white flower is mostly insignificant. Fast grower in warm weather, it
provides valuable surface coverage for fish and algae reduction.
